Even if you do not have a network of student PCs available for your Language classes, it is still possible to install an Activa interactive digital language laboratory!
Symposium Live allows teachers working from a single PC to send a range of audio files down to individual student positions to test and enhance speaking and listening skills. These can be chosen from existing audio materials, copied into the Symposium Live library or new materials digitised directly from cassette, VHS tape, DVD or microphone.
All standard sound file formats are supported and video content can be shared with the class through a standard digital projector and white board. Each student is supplied with a professional set of headphones with integrated microphone, linked through a purpose built audio box offering individual volume control, microphone mute and a hands-up facility.
Focused single student study or rewarding collaborative work for pairs and larger groups is supported, with teachers able to listen and record either individuals or paired students.
